About the Leica M3
The Leica M3 is a revolutionary 35mm rangefinder camera introduced in 1954 and produced until 1966. Renowned for its precision engineering and timeless design, it became the benchmark against which all subsequent rangefinder cameras would be judged.
This particular example from 1954 (serial #700342) has been professionally restored to excellent condition. The rangefinder is perfectly aligned, the shutter fires accurately at all speeds, and the cosmetic condition is exceptional with only minimal signs of age.
Restoration Process
Our master technician completely disassembled this camera, cleaned all components, replaced worn parts with period-correct originals, lubricated mechanisms, and calibrated the rangefinder and shutter for optimal performance.
